New Skill Idea: Elemental Surge
Just had an idea and wanted to see what people think of something like this. Not expecting it will ever end up in the game :) No concrete damage values as that's a balance issue. My thoughts are that maybe the elemental effects are a little too strong, but they're really the point of the skill. Would you play this skill? I'm curious to hear what kind of build people would make with it.
Elemental Surge Tags: Fire, Cold, Lightning, AoE, Chaining, Channelling, Spell Channel to gain stages, up to 9, releasing a random elemental nova on every third stage. Release to unleash a chaining blast of elemental damage that can freeze, shock, or ignite. Cast time: 0.75sec Crit chance: 5% Effectiveness of added damage: 75% Requires level: 12 Per 1% quality: 0.5% increased chance to inflict elemental ailments Blast chains +(3-6) times Blast deals (x-x) lightning, fire, or cold damage to each target hit. Each chaining hit chooses an element at random, dealing only that type of damage. Blast hits with chains remaining deal +3% more damage per stage. Blast hits have a base 3% chance to inflict elemental ailments per remaining chain. Cold blast hits have +(3-9)% increased freeze duration per remaining chain. Fire blast hits have +(3-9)% increased effect of ignite per remaining chain. Lightning blast hits have +(3-9)% increased effect of shock per remaining chain.
