CATALYST help> how much to 20% quality per rarity of items?

Catalyst are very expensive, so I want to know if any good soul could explain me before I use them how they work.

On blue how much catalyst needed to 20% quality?
On rare how much needed to 20% quality?
on unique how much percent to 20% quality?

I mean by thisif they work like scrap you need much more for unique items right?

So how much I need to buy would depend on how they work on different rarity items.

I would like to know how much catalyst I need to each rarity.

thanks.

Please also understand that using some orbs on a catalyst items, either removed all or some of the catalyst so be very careful about how you craft the item after.
On a normal item, 1 catalyst adds 5% quality (so, 4 catalyst per item) and on rare and unique items it is 1% (so, 20 catalyst per item); I did not try on any magic item yet, but my guess is 2% on those.

So, it just turns out, we were lied to for years with the promises of a two-storied one PoE 4.0.
All these worse and worse beta leagues, all these braindead changes, all lead to this.

When you alter an item after applying quality to it with Catalysts, some of the quality will be removed after. I don't like the system at all and wished they'd change it, but that's how it is unfortunately.
The opposite of knowledge is not illiteracy, but the illusion of knowledge.
