SHOULD FIX THE TAILWIND TRIGGER FOR MINE BUILD

Why the hell mine cannot trigger the tailwind?
I seriously don't understand this mechanism.
It makes us to use other skills to trigger tailwind, and it is totally waste of gem socket and efficiency of mapping. It never says "triggered by Critical strike attack except mine or trap", then it should be triggered by any critical strikes. I was so excited to imagine using tailwind while using mine build, it totally broke my heart and time i spent for buying that boots.

there is nothing to fix. working as intended.

Please take a minute and read again slowly what the tailwind mod says:

YOU HAVE TAILWIND IF YOU HAVE DEALT A CRITICAL STRIKE RECENTLY

YOU
YOU
YOU
YOU
YOU

a mine is not YOU

I mean, the responses are right...but even after 2300 hours of play, the wording of this stuff is still VERY confusing. I'm at the point where I can figure it out, but it takes a bit.

Before reading the responses I even spent about 30 seconds trying to figure out why it wouldn't work.
Oh yeah?
what about hitting with ur sword? u still hitting by yourself? or hitting with sword?
What's the point of using "Mine DETONATE"? If mines have their own ego or something, i would understand what u guys responded, but they r thrown by people, and detonated by people and u still call that hit by mine? Ridiculous
It's just a playing of words.
What's the difference between shooting a fire ball and throwing mine? Will you saying fireball is hitting the monster, not YOU? In anyways, people are using them to hurt monsters.
this is just ridiculous.

TL;DR: This is intentional. GGG could certainly do a better job of telling us what certain key terms mean though (as the inadequate ingame Glossary demonstrates through not having "You" in it), but at the end of the day this particular interaction isn't going to change so suck it up and move on. Also do more research into something you want to do and if you haven't done much or any then you'll just look like a fool when it doesn't actually work.

Mines, totems, traps, minions, and various other things are not counted as "You" the character both due to balance reasons (being able to leech from mines is very powerful for example, which is why it's only on one unique item, the Machina Mitts) and to give greater gameplay possibilities such as being able to ignore reflect damage because it's the mine taking reflect damage, not the player character.

The mine is a proxy to use skills, with whatever advantages and disadvantages that entails. In this case, a disadvantage is Tailwind and various other "You" effects like leech don't work with them.

And that's how it's going to stay.

PoE has technical and specific wording as the baseline so we players can better understand the game once we know the baseline stuff. "Increased" versus "More" comes to mind. You may call it "playing of words" partly because you're upset about an interaction that doesn't benefit you like you were hoping it would, but the fact is they intentionally made the mod only work on self crits and the wording they've used is meant to succinctly convey that.

It'd be nice if pressing Alt on it gave extra clarification like it does on some other mods, (and maybe it does, I don't actually know because I don't own anything with that mod) but GGG is more and more assuming knowledge of baseline technical jargon because the game is always getting more complicated despite their efforts over the years to simplify the language here and there.
