ctrl+v (paste) not working in PoE chat dialogue

I am unable to ctrl + V from trade links or any text in the chat dialogue in game.
I am able to ctrl + V anywhere outside of the client. This started yesterday, my first solution was deleting the GGPK file and relaunching the launcher which then replaced the file with a fresh download. This is a 20gb file though and it took some time. This resolved the issue for about an hour, sadly after that it returned. I have also tried completely unistalling and reinstalling the game which solved the issue for a while but the problem returned after a reboot. I have seen many archived posts in both here and in various corners of the internet regarding this issue but not really any solutions. Please help! Last bumped on Jan 15, 2020, 5:27:55 AM

I have solved the issue! It turns out it was an app called Overwolf! Overwolf has no use for PoE but closing the app completely restores the ctrl+v function to PoE.
I use Overwolf for LoL so I'm not sure where the wires are getting crossed, will have to dig further. I have also had both PoE and Overwolf running before without issue so it is very odd. What a relief tho, hopefully this helps someone out there. Try killing overwolf from background apps (mine starts on boot up). |
