GGG doesn't want an auction house? Ok, but then they should at least improve trading otherwise...

Currently the trade system is neither fish, nor flesh, nor good red herring. On one side GGG wants player interaction to trade (which I can live with), but the level of comfort for doing it is really just barely enough to not render it total shit. I'd propose the following changes:

1. Portals should restore whenever a player leaves the map voluntarily, at least while there's no enemies nearby. It's just annoying to use up portals for a trade.

2. There should be a specific "trading party" system which allows you to invite someone for trade only, so they're not able to enter any portals (accidentally or on purpose). Also, you should be able to evict and ban players from your hideout in general.

3. Everyone should be able to set up a proper "shop" for their stuff. Currently it's always a one-by-one trade as the buyer has no way to browse the other wares and there is also no easy way to offer/trade sets of items (apart from several items of the same type).
If one could set up such a shop, they could then invite others for trade-only, allowing them to come to the hideout and browse all offered items (and item sets), pick the one(s) they want and put them into a shopping cart stash together with the currency. The seller could then leave the map when it's convenient and haggle or simply complete the trade.
Links in items should be highlighted in the trade window when you press a button. Also, there should be a warning sign if the offered currency doesn't match the (total) price.

The advantages:
- It's possible to browse the other available items, which increases the chance to sell more and to find interesting stuff which would otherwise not be found.
- It would prevent the seller from exchanging the item since the buyer picks them and it would make it harder to do the 1/10 ex exchange fraud. Bye, bye, scammers...
- The seller doesn't need to use the inventory as the items will be taken directly from the stash. Currency could also go directly to the currency stash tab (if available). I think most of us had the case that they had too little space in their inventory to complete the trade...
- The buyer can "prepare" everything until the seller arrives from the map, thus reducing the time spent by both parties.
- Selling item sets is much easier (shaper/elder/atziri sets, but also interesting weapon/armor/jewelry sets).
- It would generally be easier to work with and I suppose the reply-rate would be higher as well.

4. If such a shop is in place, it could also be possible to auto-trade currency and other items which are in a "sell for x" stash tabs. I always have my 5c "bargain bin" but even for 5c it's a bit annoying to get out of a map to trade, much less for even cheaper items.

What do you think?

They can keep the trade but they should stop adding mechanics which require us to stay somewhere without coming back. These are Delve, Synthesis, Don't die Zana missions, etc. Adding more of them results in a nasty choice - do I leave the zone and mess up my progress/lose loot or do I lose the trade? Metamorph is great in this regard because you can immediately TP and trade while engaging with it.

Great idea! I would love to see trade from stash function. Really smart idea. Thank you!
Honestly. GGG doesn't have to do anything when it comes to trade. People have been begging, threatening, suggesting, etc... for years , and they haven't done anything. Yet still the player base grows.

They simply don't need to spend the resources. Hopefully they will out of pity for us, but I doubt it.
