Chaos Damage + Lightning resistance on a belt

I want to buy a stygian vise belt with lightning resistance + chaos damage. Thing is, all the belts on the market (about 200 of them) do not have natural chaos resistance. Say, I need 45-48% of it, but the most I can get is crafted 40%. Is this a bug? Why Chaos Damage and Lightning Resistance cannot be on stygian vise at the same time? The other 3 resistances can be.

The chaos damage affix comes from aberrant fossil and it has the mod, "no lightning modifiers".

Damn, thanks for the fast response. I've never used fossils for crafting. Guess I need to reevaluate my other items first.

It has chaos damage but also lightning resistance. |

Chaos and lightning can both appear on a Stygian, just not via a simple fossil craft.

" Actually, that HAS to be a fossil craft. the 40% damage with ailments ONLY comes from Corroded fossil (which also blocks ALL elemental mods). So i would bet that belt was made with Pristine + Corroded + Abberant. Things to remember - An item crafted this way can still have mods added OTHER WAYS. Beastcraft "Add suffix + remove Prefix" could add lightning resist AFTER the initial fossil craft. Exalted Orbs, Leo in research. He definitely used one of those, because gain, corroded blocks ALL elemental mods. theres no other way this item gets made. |
