How does the Hungry Loop works?

Can anyone explain it like I'm a 5 year old?

From my understanding you level support gems to max, put them inside and the ring absorb the properties. Then when the ring absorbs the support gems you put in your normal skill gem and the ring works like a normal unset?

Yes, except they need to be in the ring when they reach level 20.

If you put in a 20/20 gem does it also absorb the quality?

NO! To make it work put in a <l20 support gem and when the gem reaches l20 is will be consumed by the ring (quality is lost). Do that 4 times in a row with all the support gems you want and then put any skillgem you want in the socket and you have a 5l but without any quality on the support gems.

It doesn't work with level 21 support gems?

How would it? The ring consumes the gem when it reaches max level, which is 20. The gem never reaches lvl 21, so if you put the gem into the ring at lvl 20 it would never consume it.

I mean you can corrupt the support gems to lvl 21. The gem would still say level 21 (max)

THE RING CONSUMES THE GEM WHEN IT REACHES MAX LEVEL.

Ahh so it needs to be in the ring when they are lvl 19? Once the gem levels up (inside the ring) it will be consumed?
