Conqueror influenced items only drop from chests/barrels in influenced maps

There seems to be an intended mechanic of mobs dropping influenced items when a map is influenced by the Conquerors of the Atlas. However, mobs don't drop them at all. But barrels, chests, and so on are able to drop them.

Multiple people I've talked to are all reporting the same. Both "random drop" influenced items that I've gotten while doing Conquerors were from chests/barrels. No one has gotten a single one out of like, 20-25 items in total, outside of from the conqueror bosses themselves.

EDIT: Just confirmed with 3 more drops all from chests.

I wish i knew this a month ago.

Ive killed maybe.... 35 conqs at this point.. and in total maybe only got 15 influenced items? I never break barrels and rarely open chests. I think i got 1 random influence item from trash mobs 1 single time. and only about 50% of the time does the conq even give one.
