blastchain mine vs high-impact mine support

does it depend on the skill which one deals more dmg overall?

which one is better for ball lightning and why?

My impression was that Blastchain is a scaling effect (5% per prior mine) while High-Impact is all or nothing - i.e. you either do double damage or you don't.

If you want to see what's preferred by experienced players in a particular build you can check poe ninja.

i checked it. most ppl with ball lightning use blastchain, but most ppl with glacial cascade or purifying flame use high-impact. i have no clue why
Check your filters again. If I look at Sabo miners specifically, 99% of folks using any of those three are using Blastchain as a support.

But it's always worth trying both to see which feels better to you personally based on your play.

its coz most ppl play arc/ball lightning/pyroclast - and these ppl use blastchain.
the ppl with phys or phys to ele conversion spells use high-impact.
idk why
Even with conversion builds like Purifying Flame and Glacial Cascade, I'm seeing more folks using Blastchain than High-Impact.

I gotta believe it's just a preference between scaling damage for general use vs. an all-or-nothing chance at double damage on a boss opener. But like I said, level whichever you haven't been using in a spare socket and give it a try to see how it feels.

In the meantime, maybe someone who's compared them will comment.
ive got another mine problem to solve:

does it make sense to take flesh and stone instead of born in the shadows if i can fit in the mana reservation without downsides and take demolitions specialist instead to have double effect of double dmg chance of high-impact mine support?
