Sirus - absolutely the worst boss I've EVER fought in a video game.

Honestly the person(s) who designed this needs to be fired or moved to another position within the company. The fight itself is laughable, hardly more challenging than a blue pack in t1 map yet somehow less rememberable.

Basically what I'm saying is, and I know tons of people already said this, why not create a fun and engaging boss instead of doing some half-assed turd where 99% of the fight is vs death-zones? You know I could do the atlas again, spawn all the bosses and get another shot but, I think I'll quit this league instead because when I get to fight Sirus again I'll probably get blocked by those death-zones at the door.

You're killing your own game.

I can imagine the one who made the boss was basically like this is going to be one of the best bosses in the long time.

Like whomever did Uber elder / shaper and such needs to redesign Sirus basically unless it was legit that person who designed that boss then I don't know what the fuck was this person doing because this design and Sirus design are completely two diffrent things.

Ones good
Ones a god dam disaster that nobody likes.
Dys an sohm
Rohs an kyn
Sahl djahs afah
Mah morn narr
Avoiding stuff doesn't work well in this game. Controls are clunky, movement choppy, the camera is too much zoomed in, crap is constantly getting in the way (no way to rotate the camera like in Grim Dawn) and it seems like they always go overboard with this sort of effect.

Its honestly unreal how bad this is. Are you even trying, did a complete moron design this fight, do you care at all?

The same could be said of the whole Atlas. What galaxy brain figured that a million layers of RNG would be a great, fun idea. It's absolute garbage design.
Well, after 2 days and some hours /played, i finally reached Sirus. Needless to say i got owned pretty hard. I enter the arena and IMMEDIATELY get oneshotted by a meteor. One portal down. I try again, flame dash right into the massive black storm/black hole whatever it is...second portal down. The third attempt went a bit better, i was finally able to do some damage to Sirus. I even escaped the maze, but then a meteor oneshotted me again. Anyways, i was able to get Sirus down to 80% on my first attempt, but the whole Bossfight is just a "Dodge or Oneshot" mechanic. Nothing particular special, not excting, just cheap and lazy design. I will continue trying to defeat him...just need to learn to dodge all his attacks. It feels like the fight is indeed very unforgiving and you need to perfectly dodge all the lazers, maze, meteors...

Fully agree. Lock step is dog shit. This game constantly has things that fucking magnetize your mouse cursor and then you can't get it to stop. This makes movement horrendous and it will never be perfectly smooth. Their only hope is that PoE 2 is a COMPLETE overhaul and not just more half assed code piled on top of each other.
I've seen a guide and went for Sirus at 4 stones to try and learn. Managed to get him into last phase.

1. going under boss is so fucking counter intuitive in comparison with every other boss who slaps you to your face whenever you are in melee range

2. big dot circle blocking your door as you enter if you rip basically unavoidable to take any dmg ... it would be nice if the animations would actually correspond with the circle size.

3. teleporting boss might be fun, but having a death beam from off screen is no fun. Not sure if i can figure out position of the boss from sound, but having obstacles in the way is no fun for non-dash builds. That leads to #4

4. stairs in the arena are really freaking problem. My last portal rip at around 5% of the boss was because meteor 2nd door was on the stair blockade.

bonus 5. GGG actually embraces speed meta, as my slow ass walking character cannot actually dodge the meteor with base speed (26%).

Otherwise the fight is nothing special. Only real problem is #4 , rest is manageable. And that is just because there is no control over where the fight takes place. And having basically 1 out of 3 options with freaking stair case that cannot be walked over is dumb.

3.13 was the golden age.
The problem isn't as much as one guy having this idea, problem is entire process in HQ where a team of people and "QA" let this pass.

Did my first attempt now, and went in pretty much half-assed and didn't really care. Apparently i got his first phase pretty easy, but died at the same time from my own mistake.
He spawned the death vortex on my 2nd portal and i pulled it away and ripped with it(purposely, dont care about exp).

Went in again and phased him easy and the fight was already somewhat tedious sadly, he spawned another vortex and i pulled it away and died with it.

Repeat for a third vortex.

Now i thought i was at last phase so i actually started caring for the kill since it was far easier than i thought it would be(just awk 5). When i now re-entered he for some reason had moved across half the map into the 2 other vortexes i had moves near the stairs.
Now i had to pull these away and get back to him, which went fine, and the fight started again. Of course it starts with a meteor where i get locked in the stairs and die because why not(tried to blink over without luck)...
Now i get back in on my last portal where i run back to him, where he is now suddenly inside a new vortex(?), which left me with pretty much no space left due to his position and my old vortexes, being forced to take a risky blink arrow across vortexes, but fails and loses the chance to kill the guy.

The thing here for me is that i did a fight where i think i did 1 mistake which lost me the first portal, all else is for me seems bullshit. If i'd know he would create another vortex i would move other vortexes before going in last time, which yeah could also be on me.

Was he really supposed to spawn 4 vortexes and have 5 phases??
You just wasted 3 seconds reading this.
