POE, POE 2 and end game

Not sure if this was addressed so I'll just ask here.

PoE and PoE 2 will have different campaigns but a shared end game. Now my question is: how will they make the endgame fit both campaigns and still make sense? I ask this because 1 campaign is set 20 years after the other.

Did GGG think about this? Are they going to forgo making it fit into the story and just give you "here's the end game" just out of context?

Zana.

After you kill Kitava you go to templar labs and Zana handles the endgame story.

In poe2 she will be the main driver for endgame aswell.

But how? This is 20 years in the future? Zana should be older.

Right now after Kitava, Zana asks for your help in dealing with a new threat. Which makes sense.
But in POE 2, which is in the future, Zana should be older, and the threat from POE 1 can't be the same here as well, because 20 years later....

Hope I explained it clear enough.

This is just speculation but imagine this: in conquerors of the atlas we fight exiles that kept going through the map device and became corrupted by doing so.

Zana uses the map device aswell. There's 6 portals and 5 exiles so the sixth is the one she joins them on their "incursions". She says they faced the terrible evil that plagued the atlas. But we don't know if there is another being aware of the atlas and it's ability to link the dreamlands with poe's reality.

Zana can be the same age she is now if using the map device has a different effect on her (she doesn't go insane but no longer ages).

Also Zana might turn up to be 4.0 main villain if she too gets corrupted in time by using the map device. Her dad is the perfect example for that.
"Time is distorted in (Wraeclast), with heroes centuries old" living for excessive amounts of time.
Need a new signature, cuz name change. I dunno though. I guess this seems fine. Yeah, this is good.

The devs explicitly said on stage that they'll handle that easily since maps are timeless, as in the time does not matter in the Atlas. So even though you access maps from different timelines, with probably different aged Zana, you still get the same map content once you take that portal to the Atlas. the map devices birngs you to a timeless world.

I bet one day they're gonna reveal the maps are painted in blood.

Actually, if you watch the PoE Mobile version.. Zana already looks way younger or.. maybe it's just because it's on a phone idk.

Or it's just that whatever story you take you happen to find Zana at/near the end. If you go Act 1-10 Kill kitava then her quest starts there. If you do the new story then perhaps it treats it as if Zana wasn't there in the first part and only appears during the new story.

Or as most have said, it's just some timeless space for maps.
Should be an easy fix; one line of dialog.

- here's my sig
Easy, we kill kitava on poe 1, wait 20 years for d4 release, and then we play poe 2 with our friends in poe 2 campaign.
