Mirrored items links/sockets

So what happens to builds that have multiple mirror items lets say two jewelled foils a helmet onslaught boots maim chest etc surely they cant just be invalid after the changes thats over a 1000 exalts wasted ?? People dont have time to regain that amount of currency?

Why would anything happen to them?
They will most likely become less and less desirable as the game evolves and more power creep is introduced, but that is already happening.

It's a bit early to tell what changes but I'm sure there will be a faq at some point. I mean poe2 beta is like a year away at least.

Thats the hazard of the mirror tier creations. When something new comes along the old one is no longer relevant. Nothing changes, they are still powerful and had their time, just not the best anymore.

Players who love the game will find new motivation. Players who don't, will find only frustration.

Could also be a buff to mirrored items since you're not longer locked into whatever the chest/helm/sword has. Same for the random piece of gear you vaal orb without socketing and linking it. Even if slotting a skill gem set into it is disabled, you have 8-9 total slots so I doubt it's a big hit.

Remember that standard is the 'dump league'... It is only there to have a place GGG can dump their league items to avoid people complaining that they lost their 'phat lewt'.

I'm sure GGG will implement some kind of item transition for the gem rework, and I'm equally sure it'll not cover everything.
As long as the transition works for most items, that's as far as it'll go... Edge-cases like mirrored items will probably not be covered, at least not in a way that ensure they keep their 'value'.

It is simply not worth spending a lot of development time on...

The items will obviously still be strong but a mirrored piece of gear cant be changed. will the sockets just stay the same or will it be just two/one random colour?
