Applying Frost Bomb and Frostbite with CWDT

Hi guys,

I am still a bit unfamiliar with some of the mechanics.
I want to apply Frost Bomb and Frost Bite via CWDT for the resist debuff.

1. Could I go for a 3L with level 1 CWDT -> Level 1 Frost Bomb + Level 1 Frost Bite? Would they just trigger in a row?

2. If I want a higher Frost Bite: Could I go for a 4L with Level 1 CWDT -> Level 1 Frost Bomb -> Level 20 Curse on hit -> Level 20 Frost Bite? Would that work?

Couldn't find anything on Frost Bomb radius. Is a 2L with CWDT -> Frost Bomb (both Level 1) AND a 4L with CWDT -> Ice Nova -> Curse on hit -> Frost Bite the better option?

Glad for any input.

1. CWTD will only trigger 1 linked spell everytime it goes off. The first time it triggers it would cast Frost Bomb, the second time it would cast Frost Bite.

2. This setup would first trigger lv 1 Frost Bomb once lv 1 CWDT goes off, then Frost Bomb would cast/curse lv 20 Frost Bite if it actually hits an enemy. Keep in mind that Frost Bomb only hits at the end of its duration.

You can run two seperate CWDT setups. Two 2-links for example.

To cast a higher level Frost Bite you would need to level up your CWDT gem or use a Curse on Hit support, yes.

This is incorrect. Each skill supported by CwDT tracks damage separately; the CwDT support itself doesn't track damage. So both skills will trigger at the same time the first time per instance (it's possible they'll get out of sync after that due to Frost Bomb's cooldown, but they don't have to take turns).

If you want to apply both Frost Bomb and a high-level Frostbite, don't want to deal with Frost Bomb's latency, and don't want to self-cast either of them, then I agree that CwDT + low-level Frost Bomb and CwDT + low-level spell + CoH + high-level Frostbite is the best combination to achieve that. Note that Ice Nova won't hit distant enemies, so you might prefer something such as Arc or Bladefall instead.
Oh okay, sad CoC doesnt work like that.

Cast While Channeling also alternates, but CWDT will cast all linked skills.
