From what I've seen from the latest D4 panel, it's a sad sad story for Blizzard at this point. On the other hand, it's nice to see that at least one game (POE) in the ARPG genre knows how to do this type of game properly.
I'm really looking forward to POE 4.0, and I have a feeling it's gonna advance everything by miles compared to other ARPG games (current or future). Last bumped on Nov 2, 2019, 6:53:38 PM

Based on what GGG is doing for the last few years, how they tackle problems, what kind of innovation they're introducing, and how fast they are fixing things that don't work.
On the other hand, there's todays panel where they copy features from POE, while at the same time still don't know exactly how trading will work (therefore no clear vision for it), they don't know much about seasons (therefore no clear vision for it), itemization and their connection to talents nothing more than what we've seen in other ARPG games... This all puts me in a sceptical position about their understanding of the direction the game should go, and somewhat no clear vision about how the systems should play their part in this game. |

" don't you worry there will be a $60 standard edition, $70 digital deluxe edition, $100 supreme edition, and probably a $120 super collectors edition with a figurine that will be sold out immediately and scalped on ebay for 6 times the cost still diablo 4 is looking a little diablo 3-esque again. No offline play, no instant town portal scrolls, too many cooldowns, diablo 3/Wow style dialogue boxes again, and some weird shared world. I'll still probably play it but I'll also be happy Path of Exile exists to remind other developers wtf an ARPG is supposed to look like |
