Auras effects too flashy / turn off aura effect

Would be nice to have an option to turn off the aura effect circling around your char.

Or maybe to tune it down to something less flashy and less immersion breaking.

as they are at the moment.. they just dont fit in the art direction and ambiance .. too flashy.. too much yikes.. too much arcade stylish.

Option to turn them off would be good.

Funny part is that the large glowing aura around your character is the easiest way to tell your ally apart from foe. I'd like to get nameplates over character heads before losing the flashy aura. My friend usually reminds me I forgot to rebuff long before I do because they get tired of casting spells at me thinking I'm a monster.

They didn't bother me personally, but a friend I was playing with expressed the same thought. Said they were just too much, over the top.

I don't mind the vibrant colours, just the aesthetic overall - balls of energy orbiting your character in a circle just to indicate that you're adding said energy to damage? Doesn't fit, maybe a glowing-flamey outline around character's hands (a la Titan Quest).

Same here. And its not only the Auras. I got Tempest shield, tried it with my sword and board character. Ditched it right away.

Sorry, a huge blue flame always sticking out of my shield all the time is a bit too much, edging silly.

It's a matter of taste. Personally, I love the auras and the tempest shield. They create a feeling of power and progression. It's also something tangible along side the passive skill points.
