Sand Stance not proccing Commander of darkness

Flesh and Stone's Sand Stance aura, which states it affects the player (both in-game tool tip and wiki), does not proc the +ele resistances portion (and presumably the +dmg portion as well) of the Necromancer Ascendancy major Commander of Darkness, as shown in the following image.



(I have no auras activated in left half and only Stand stance activated in right half of image )

Not sure if this is working as intended (if the Sand Stance side of the skill is NOT supposed to be considered 'an aura affecting the player'), but the way it is worded and interacts it seems as if it should be proccing Commander of Darkness. The interaction either needs to be fixed or the tooltip and explanation of Sand Stance needs to be reworded.

I found a single resolved post that says the interaction between sand stance and Commander of Darkness is working as intended and cites that Devs have addressed this before, but I cannot find the posts they are referencing.
