Mortal Conviction: What's the point?
|
So, coming back after a long time, I'm going through what's been changed and....Mortal Conviction caught my eye...
First, why... Second, what's the point now? On the first, I'm guessing there's some broken builds I never ran that used the 50% less reserved mana bit, which I'm guessing auras considering the 'non-banner, non-mine' part. Not really something I dove deep into. But on the second, that makes me question.....Why not just remove it instead of making it a waste of space? Seriously. This is on the level of the old Heirophant totem problem. 1 free aura, and then you can't cast any more?...Even Essence Worm is better, because it at least lets you have 2+ auras! And consider how much survivability and/or damage comes from auras? How much is lost removing even 1? I think it needs another rework, or to just outright be removed, it's just fulfilling a space on the tree now. Last bumped on Oct 12, 2019, 4:18:09 AM

" And consider how much survivability and/or damage comes from two decent rings. I for one am delighted to trash Essence Worm when using Blood Magic and Mortal Conviction (with two charracters at the moment, Vaal BV Chieftain and Flame Golem Elementalist, both doing just fine). You can still add two Heralds if you feel the need for moar damage. Or do not take Mortal Conviction and use two Essence Worms without the limitations... but running with, say, 4 auras (1 free with MC, 2 x EW, 1 curse aura w/o reservation from Impresence, for example) and enjoying the comfort/benefit of Blood Magic would a bit too much to ask... nice try though. ;) P.S. This thread should be moved to General Discussion or Feedback & Suggestions. Last edited by tomay#5509 on Oct 12, 2019, 10:24:43 AM
