My Internet disconnect ONLY playing maps even afk in PoE

Hi!
I have disconnect issues and I tried all to correct but nothing work. My internet is consistent and fine during every other online game I play, but just recently it has started disconnecting for *literally* a split second ONLY while playing Path of Exile and ONLY in Maps even if i'm afk. When i’m afk in every city or hideout, I don’t get disconnected.
The weird thing is it's not just losing connection to the servers, it's losing connection from everything on my pc (discord, battle.net, steam, spotify) and immediately reconnecting, but I’m disconnected from the game, and “An unexpected disconnect has occurred”

I tried to play with all applications closed. Still got disconnect.

I read the forum thread (https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/305066), I tried configuring router and Firewall specific ports settings, but didn’t work. Also, I tried disabling Firewalls and antivirus. Didn’t work too.

I tried updating Windows and all drivers. Didn’t worked. Tried last update before and nothing happened too.
Also I tried to verify game files and uninstall and install the game.

I tried change my DNS, a lot of times, for 8.8.8.8 8.8.4.4 (Google) and 208.67.222.222 208.67.220.220 (OpenDns), also trying automatic. And nothing worked.

I tried to use VPN/tunnel programs and still get disconnect.

Tried to restart my moden, turn off my computer, my moden again, all. And nothing.

I follow this guide (https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1377789) and I did the MTR thing, I have been disconnected 2 times during the test.
Here it is: https://pastebin.com/CXp3dGpR

I’m newbie. I don’t know what to do anymore. I tried to talk with my internet provider and they treated me like i’m crazy. They told me to turn off my moden and my computer. With blood on my eyes I did it again and nothing works.. Almost hours on the phone and nothing solved. They say everything is fine.

So, anyone can really help me? Or I’ll never be able to play PoE again?

what is your GGPK file size?
size 27,1 GB (29.119.770.887 bytes)
disk size 27,1 GB (29.119.774.720 bytes)

You may wanna try this...
If you haven't already, unplug every cable going in and out of your modem/router for least 30 minutes... While you do, you may wanna try this:

It says it won't work on Steam but I just had it working myself, just copy all the game files from your Steam folder to
"program files/Grinding Gear Games/Path of Exile", this folder may not exist but you can always create it and copy all the files in there and run the GGPK Defrag tool, it will detect it.
My GGPK file went from 27GB to 20.4GB and all my problems regarding ping and FPS was resolved... Something nobody from support could've helped me with, luckily someone in Global chat told me about this and holy smokes it worked.

I always suspected there'd be a problem with the game, as every other game runs fine. Now I know for a fact that it's not my ISP's but PoE itself.
I highly recommend you try this out, just make a BACKUP of the GGPK file before you defrag it.

lets not bother with that and look at the 70% packet loss which carries all the way through the OP's connection.

I.E turn your router off and leave it for a few minutes and try again (running the test) if the packet loss continues then use a wired connection if it is not already, if it is already wired then call your ISP because they should be fixing that problem.

I tried it.. I'll call again tomorrow. Thanks

You may want to look further on your end of the network outside of just a long reboot. Firmware on both modem/router may help.

Wired or wireless? Try the other. If both are getting similar, you could have a bad network cable somewhere, failing network card, failing modem/router, or a number of other things. Other games may not be impacted as hard as, but POE gets really wonky as soon as you lose 1 packet, let alone almost 80% of them. Do you have another computer to test with?

Internet crashing while playing certain games is not uncommon. I can link several threads from other games with the same issue and the fixes for people vary from rebooting their computer up to replacing network cables in their walls. If the packet loss was starting further down the hops, I'd recommend having ISP investigate (assuming they don't own the equipment), but this is something inside of your house that is not working.
Leaving router off for a few minutes doesn't do anything more than dumping memory in the device like stored WiFi IPs and settings... If you disconnect the router for at least 30 minutes you'll get a new IP from your ISP as the IP you get from your ISP is tied to your MAC address of the router, to one that is less busy. This resolves many issues.
Why I say 30 minutes is because the time is relative, where I live they drop disconnected IPs once every 20 minutes, might be 10 where you live, or 30 minutes...

And, this guy apparently has no issues in other games, ontop of his 7GB extra sized GGPK file suggests that he has a lot of junk files in his package. A cleaned GGPK is about 20.4GB, not 27GB.

But hey, whatever floats your boats :D
A lost packet does not affect games as much as it affects video or VoIP calls, I've had 70% packet loss once and lost my call on TeamSpeak but my game ran just perfectly fine. Don't get too hung up on the numbers. Yes, there's something wrong, but like he said, it doesn't affect any of his other games.

That should be proof enough that packetloss doesn't affect games as much as it does to voice or video. Again, it's a problem but not one that should affect just PoE. If PoE is the only game in the world that suffers this hard from a packetloss problem there's something wrong with the game.

What happens when a packet gets lost is just that the packet will be resent again and again until it's delivered or returned, increasing the time for response (ping), gaming with 300 ping for example is not a reason for a disconnection, well unless the servers have an automated kick system but PoE does not afaik.

I turned off my modem when I woke up and left it about 1 hour off... so apparently it worked! Thank you guys.
