Question about increased minion damage modifier on rings.
|
Hey all, after some research on the PoEDB and poegamepedia site about delve fossils and delve modifiers i can't seems to find any info about the "Minions deal %increased damage" (of the underground) mod for rings. the mod does indeed exist since there are rings sold with that mod on the poe trade sites.
This makes me wonder since there are alot of specific DELVE mods, for example; the helmet suffix that reduces chaos resistance to nearby enemies (also with the "of the underground" suffix name to indicate that its a delve mod) which can be obtained by using Fossil crafting. Also noteworthy all delve specific related prefixes have the sub name "Subterranean" and suffixes "of the underground". It came to my attention by ingame messages since the info was lacking on aforementioned sites, that the "Minions deal % increased damage" on rings can only specifically drop in certain Delve encounter rooms (ones that drop minion related stuff), but now my question is since that mod is also a part of the "of the underground" delve suffix series together with mods that can also be crafted with fossils, is it possible that the "Minions deal % increased damage" can also be crafted by using "bound" fossils? since this remains unclear to me, i dont want to waste bound fossils for nothing if that mod is in fact "drop only", OR missing out in being able to craft it with bound fossils. Since so far sellers of such rings were either "secretive" about the mod, or not really engaging in conversation, besides the absence of information about the mod on PoEDB and the gamepedia wiki sites alike. Thanks in advance! PS: i saw a seller with alot of vermillion rings with the "minion deal increased damage" mod, shouldnt vermillion rings only drop in atlas related regions? or did they also add vermillion rings in the delve reward pool? have a good day! :) Last bumped on Oct 8, 2019, 3:56:32 AM

some 'delve' modifiers can infact ONLY be found as drops from delve locations. Another highly valuable 'drop only' mod this league is "+1 Maximum Spectres" Chest pieces. These also ONLY come from 'area contains minion items' delve nodes.

these mods come from the delve minion nodes, not from fossils

" So it's safe to assume that this applies to "Minions deal %increased damage"? Since your comment had a general tone mentioning "some" delve modifiers being infact as "drop only". Since you did name a good example regarding + 1 spectres as one of those examples. Although + 1 maximum spectres chest mod is ALSO missing on the information resource sites sadly. So there is a pattern here of drop only mods completely missing from the resource sites, then it will be a bit difficult for someone to even know of their existence (all of them). It would be very handy indeed if they included a section of drop only delve mods, so that people can at least be aware of them all :) |

" Yes. I have found a few of these rings in Delve and amulet. Check my gear |

" The point was that in my OP i never questioned if rings or amulets with the "Minion deal % increased damage" would drop in special delve encounters at all. But rather wondered if you could also get these mods by using the appropriate fossil type, because there are in fact a large amount of delve mods that you are able to also fossil craft on gear and the information about this is also visible on certain sites (PoEDB, poegampedia/wiki sites). BUT the "Minion deal % increased damage" mod and other supposed "drop only" mods are missing completely on those resource sites, meaning no one can really state for a fact that you can't let's say use bound fossils to get the "minion deal % increased damage" on rings for example. Unless someone tried using those on a large scale to then conclude that the mod never spawned, thus probably the mod is not available in the mod pool. But that information is not stated either in information resources. That's my whole reason for this post in a nutshell even though the previous comments stated that it's "drop only" how would YOU/THEY know that for certain in the first place, if information about those mods are absent at all on the main PoE information resources? :) |

" Hahah, you remind me of myself. But, very valid point. Have you found the answer yet? If not, I think I will invest some fossils and see for myself. |
