Will POE have beautiful cut scenes?

Hello GGG,

I would Love to know POE history by watching beatiful cut scenes making me inside the game, knowing what I'm doing, why I'm killing those people, I know I know, there are histories within talking to NPC and reading tombs. But I want to see a history cut scene. It brings life to the game. Please GGG, consider this topic something to think in future. I really really want to see that happening. Love your game, love your team, One day I will work with your team sharing what I know about creating and developing games, apps and websites. Thanks for the attention.

Considering most people just want to rush through the leveling process as fast as possible, those cutscene will most likely be skipped after the novelty wears off.

I doubt they have time for that. With that said, I don't object to your sugguestion.

Should be clarified that only cgi cutscenes are worthy, none of that real-time rendered crap. In anycase, I would guess if GGG did do cutscenes they would be purchasable via mtx shop.

Never. GGG is all "cut scenes? We have no cut scenes. We don't need no stinkin cut scenes."

They added one cut scene with the statue thingie becoming Kitava. I was kinda hoping that they'd add more. But it really wouldn't add a whole lot to the game and it would cost a bundle.

I think you are joking but that might be a decent way to fund it. Early access as MTX and it doesn’t get added to core until the development cost + some margin is reached. I would definitely buy a cutscene.

I have always loved the Starcraft cutscene with the Battlecruiser overhead while they battle zergs down below.

Fancy cutscenes are expansive.

VERY expansive if you want them to be on par with modern standards.

Fancy cutscenes and graphics pushing are a plague on the VG industry since the PSone, funneling a ridiculous amount of budget in game development. Not even mentionning the multiple blatant bias of VG journalists (and therefore mass players) on it.


This is my opinion and I have been standing behind it for nearly 20 years. Cutscenes are useful and enjoyable. But they shouldn't have the place they currently have.

Diablo 2 had great cutscenes. Is Diablo 2 not an ARPG?

It would be nice yes, but no. There is absolutely NO WAY that is or WILL ever happen.
So, quite simply. Forget it.
