Icefang Orbit not shattering with 105% chance to poison

The unique ring Icefang Orbit says "Poisoned Enemies you kill with Hits Shatter." This works if you poison the enemy with one hit, then kill them with a second hit; the corpse is destroyed and shatter effects like herald of ice go off. But if you kill them with a single hit that has 100% or more poison chance, they don't shatter.
Effects such as Profane Bloom "Cursed enemies you kill" trigger even if the hit that curses them is also the hit that kills them, and its very common for a normal build to critical strike and kill a mob in one hit, shattering them from the freeze. So this effect should shatter enemies that you kill in a single, 100% chance to poison hit. Tested on multiple characters, with cobra lash and other skills supported with Poison, with Assassin Ascendancy to get 100% poison chance or higher. https://i.imgur.com/T63HaPp.jpg https://i.imgur.com/8rIT9wU.jpg No shattered corpses despite having 105% chance to poison, and wearing Icefang Orbit. This is a non-map zone so mobs have no chance to avoid ailments or anything. I've made sure to disable all minions and additional effects that might be stealing the kill (everything else has 100%+ chance to poison anyway.) There's no indication on the wiki that there should be any mechanical issue with this interaction If anyone else notices a mistake I've made or has more information, please advise! This is a very neat, build enabling interaction that is completely worthless if it doesn't work on one-hit-kills. Can confirm, noticed the same thing. Made me drop the ring from my setup.
As far as I know, Pyre unique ring also destroys monsters when you 1-shot them because ignite gets applied with that same hit. Not sure why Icefang Orbit doesn't share that property just because it's poison. |

This is working as intended.
The ''cursed enemies you kill'' applies when the monster dies (from any sources). However, the ''poisoned enemies you kill with hits shatter'' needs the enemies to be poisoned, and then hit with a killing blow, in order to shatter. If you one shot the enemy through herald of ice spreading for example, the enemy will not be initially poisoned when it is hit with the herald of ice explosion. |

My question then becomes, why would it not work for a hit that applies the poison and also kills the monster ? That portion seems to be a bug.
