thats normaly a sign of the GFX card "diying" / crashing.
It can also be a heat problem with either the CPU or GPU.
well i tested heating with stress test both cpu and gpu they ran it fine i dont think might be heating issue
can this cause by drivers ?

sure drivers can make problems but also OC if you have that on your system.
Some has also have problems where it was the PSU that was not strong enough to give proper power under full load.

well drivers are good and this is same psu i am using from 6 years now it always ran fine on load i think the psu might be fine coz i notice when ever monitor show "no signal" the system is still powered-up and running just it unresponsive even num lock indicator is stuck and hang
at-lest even if system show any sort of blue screen or something error it was easy to solve but this just turn off the monitor and keep pc powered

If you have similar problem playing other games, your PC (some part) is dying.

You would have to troubleshoot yourself which HW part (gfx, CPU, Ram, Mobo, ... or outdated drivers and outdates BIOS version causing conflicts) is causing the systemwide freeze where you have to hard reset the PC yourself.
Same problem for me, build my pc 1 month ago
Ryzen 3600
B450 tomahawk
zotac rtx 2070 super
Without any changes i've been playing for about 90h Witcher 3 all max, and some FF14 no problems.
Now in poe i get a black screen with sound and if i check event viewer "display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered"
This happened with 4 different drivers.
Right now im testing max gpu performance in the nvidia control panel and pci express link state power management off in power options.
The black screen can happen after 10 h or 2 h.
So i changed my displayport cable and now the screen recovers, looks like Path of exile has an error that crashes the nvidia driver too, this is why the black screen was happening at random times 1h,2h or 10h.

I could not see the error DP cable that came with the monitor was bad.
I have a similar problem.
The problem sometimes occurs when making maps. Exactly in the same places on the map. I run to some place and suddenly I have a black screen and sound freeze. After 4-6 seconds. Poe Crashes to desktop/ sometimes its totaly freeze and some times its giving me BSOD (https://i.imgur.com/ZkGPf5o.jpg)
After reloging to the game and running to the same place where the problem occurs the situation is repeated. But if i just spawn other map in my atlas everything is fine.
I was thinking that my gpu is dying or my software drives just need to be update/reinstal.

- I did the CPU/GPU/MEM/PSU, stress-tests. And didnt have any software/hardware problems.
- Reinstaled the drives. Problem occurred again.
- Switched the GPU (I have a spare graphics card in case of problems with the main one). Problem occurred again.

I have one thing left to do. Reinstallation of the operating system. I wonder if it will help.
From one point of view, the problem lies with the graphics driver/game. But on the other hand, not many people have it.

I have a total mindfuck.
Sorry for my english.

I5 2500k /3.3GHZ 6MB LGA1155/
Asus p8p67 PRO rev.3.0/intel p67/
DDR III 2GB 1600MHz CL8 goodram Play (x4)
XFX XXX 650W Modular 135mm 80+bronze SLI
AMD Radeon(TM) R9 290X
I have more or less the same problem. Display gets cut off to black and you can hear sound for a second maybe then it either freezes in a loop or cuts out entirely.

Happened randomly a few times in different situations but it's particularly bad in the Labyrinth. A moment after I walk into the Izaro encounter after the stash room the display shuts off and I'm forced to restart.

Happens every time no fail so I can't even ascend my garbage scion I was plucking away on. Oh well guess I'll have to quit this game again.
