3.8 PoE switching to Intel graphics card rather than dedicated GPU

Hello. I noticed a significant drop in quality (both in smoothness and graphical fidelity) of the game ever since patch 3.8 hit. The game seems unable to support the graphics and as such the Dynamic Resolution setting kicks in and stays up constantly, even in empty maps or my hideout.

Upon looking into the graphics options I found that the box for 'Display' is now set to my laptops' integrated Intel card rather than its built-in GPU, and is also grayed out so I can't change it. This wasn't the case before, from what I remember. The tooltip says I might have to change that on my systems driver settings, but I'm not clear on what that means - I went into the NVidia settings app and set PoE to use that, but it doesn't seem to have changed anything in the game. Is there something else I'm supposed to do to get the game to detect / run off my dedicated GPU instead?

Thanks!

Hi,

Same situation here.
I open POE with high-performance graphic (Nvidia) but it still showing Intel 620 in-game option.

Spec

Geforce can only detect LOL, It can not detect POE. LOL is running perfectly with my MX150

Hey! I actually just fixed my problem. I'm not sure why, but it seems the NVidia Control Panel had switched back to working on the regular PoE client (and the 64-bit client had switched back to using the integrated card), so the setting I was forcing with it was only applying to the regular client. But I was playing on the 64-bit client, so that was not being touched by NVidia as whatever settings I had changed didn't apply to it. To fix it, I just added the path to the 64-bit client there instead (just click the 'Add' button and navigate to your 64-bit PoE exe file, or the 32-bit one if that's what you're using), and THEN changed my preferred graphics processor to the NVidia one. Booted up the game and it's working (the in-game Options menu also shows it using the dedicated card like before, still grayed out). Not sure if this is the cause of your problem, but check if you're changing the settings for the client you're actually using or if you overlooked the same thing I did. Hope this helps!

Thank's guys, seems to have done the trick here.
