purple item borders

I see items drop with purple borders when they use to be white, what's up with that?

I'm using the one POE added into the game; before the 3.8.0 patch normal (non-magical items) were dropping white, now daggers and some staves drop purple.

" That would be Warstaves/ Rune Daggers. They split the staff and dagger bases, so you have bases that roll melee mods and bases that roll caster mods (staves, rune daggers). Bird lover of Wraeclast
