I just can't understand the loot filter
|
I've spent hours looking up loot filters, and nothing makes sense to me. I just want the basic white crap items that can't be traded for currency to not show up, but it seems like I need to include every single game item in the list, by name, + legendaries, or it won't show up if it drops?
I'm visual and i just don't understand what i'm suposed to do, there's no basic tutorials it all jumps right into filters for endgame stuff that I don't know what half the terms means. i.e. I don't think I've ever done a map, and the furtest i got was the prologue act with an old character. i just want 6 socket items, 3 color linked items, rare and legendary, +currency and other un-common/rare stuff like maps and so on. go to download and follow the instructions not worrying about anything else. The default filter you will download is good enough. It will block utter crap like whites and later blues. It will show Chroma items, 6 links, 6 sockets, all currency maps etc. plus some items it thinks might be "good". You will never miss anything important. And not only it shows them but color codes by importance. Trust me you will not miss a unique drop. The point of customization is to hide some of the stuff the filter thinks is "good" but really isn't. |

Then use a filter like:
" (replace "____" by some spaces) Only "3 color linked items" is missing - but do you really need so many Chromatic Orbs? Or take a look at Item filter guide. It should be like " | |
" When i can spend 15+ trying to get the right color combination for the skill gems i use, yeah, i need all the chrome orbs i can get. Also the copy paste of the code you did doesn't help, there's nothing telling me what does what and how it looks, what is default and so on. But I did manage to get a filter that seems to be doing what i want, after modifying it like 5 times. The graphic overlay showing you what items looks like what, with the option to edit it right there, was what i needed, basically. That was the game changer(The simulate tab, at the top). http://www.filterblade.xyz/ |

Use Filter Blade, honestly, you will waste a lot of time trying to code up your own.
