Target FPS
|
Hi guys,
My target FPS is 30, but my game is allways trying to keep it at 60. Why is that? I would prefer to play it at 30 because my laptop can't handle too much. I have a Intel Core i5-7200U, 2.5GHz, 12GB RAM and a Intel HD Graphics 620. My current configuration is as following: ![]() Last bumped on Aug 31, 2019, 4:29:56 AM

As HanSoloDK wrote ...
to cap FPS, use Riva Tuner Statistic Server. Dynamic Resolution FPS number is the FPS number at which POE lowers the resolution (things get a bit blurry, more or less)[1] to get through tough bits of performance dip (if too much is on your screen and your PC/GFX can not handle it), keeping you in control by maintaining Frame Times and FPS. In your case, I would keep it at 30 or 40 or 50, if your PC can produce stable 60 FPS. And depending on what you prefer, bit occasional blurriness, but your character stays alive. Or the other way around, occasional Frame Time spikes/FPS dips and thus changes to input and display lag, and miss the attack that killed you. But the picture does not go blurry. " It is happening because your monitor is 60 hz and V-sync is capping fps to refresh rate of your monitor. If you want to cap your fps to 30 change display/monitor refrech rate to 30 hz, if you do not want to install another utility. Nevertheless - what does it mean "laptop can not handle that much?" If it runs at 60fps, than you should be rather happy about that, right? You paid money to make max out of it... |
