Deal with the Bandits - Books of Reform issue (can't trade/get rid of)
So when speaking with Eramir to turn in the quest and pick a book, the game didn't actually tell me what "Gain Oak's/Alira's/Kraityn's/Eramir's favor" actually did until I chose a book reward and it appeared in my inventory and I attempt to use it.
Big problem now. I have Oak's Favor version of the book in my inventory and I can't trade it or sell it or get rid of it. I checked the /passives command and it tells me I have 2 from "Deal with the Bandits" so I believe I already have Eramir's favor (likely from a while back when finishing this quest in previous years on a different difficulty when that was a thing). I don't want to have to use it and lose skill points, spend a bunch of orbs and a necklace to get another copy of Eramir's reward and use that to get the points back. How can I get rid of this book without using it- or am I seriously stuck with this book forever now? Last edited by Henry_GGG#0000 on Aug 25, 2019, 1:04:09 AM Last bumped on Aug 24, 2019, 9:53:19 PM

" You can sell it to a vendor, or drop it on the ground in a non-town instance. We're aware of the issue of not being able to destroy it, though. Sorry for the trouble! | |
Unfortunately I cannot drop it anywhere. I've left the town to The Quay (for example) and I cannot drop the book. It's the same game-response as while in town.
It does not let me sell/trade to a vendor, as I said in the original post. Any ideas? |

Maybe Yolandi read from the knowledge bank backwards? As far as I know the only way to destroy the book is to pick it up on your cursor and enter /destroy into the chat box.
It sounds like Yolandi gave the inverse answer, which made me think they fixed the bug by reversing it into a new bug, but now I'm reading original post and it doesn't sound like you actually tried /destroy yet. Need game info? Check out the Wiki at: https://www.poewiki.net/

THANK YOU! I had no idea that "/destroy" was even a thing but it worked like a charm! I wish this could have been mentioned or posted to the quest page itself or something along those lines. :)
Much appreciated both of you! |
