Will those timeless jewels become a standard noob trap?

You act like it is something new. GGG did that countless times. Standard is just a place that everything is dumped after what matters to GGG ends - leagues.

Too far removed from the "noob" experience to be considered a noob trap. You'll need another term for this. Noob traps are things that a new player might think are good but really aren't. No new player is going to get his hands on one of these by accident.

still would hurt to buy something worth a mirror but they respect the tree so it have then a 5 alch value.

Mjloner was worth 50ex back in the old days. Do you think GGG cared when they nerfed it and made it 1 alch unique?

couple more nerfs and the timeless shavronnes will be selling for 1 alch.

Keep in mind people paying 50-100 exalts for incredible timeless jewels are doing so to use them IN legion league. they generally dont care what happens to the gear in standard because they'll never see it again for the most part.

How is any of that a "noob trap" and why are you telling standard players to suck it up?

You dreamed up a scenario, imagined some sort of outrage as a response to your dream scenario, and then told a group of people to "suck it up" as though it was all real...strange.

One day, standard will be standard.
