Totems and channeled skills

So how do channeled skills works with totems? How fast do they build up stages for skills like divine ire and winter orb? In general do channeled skills are used with totem?


My toughs are that the totem will not build stages in a decent time to apply its DPS, but I'm not sure since I never used them.

which means you will do your channeling 30% slower but since you are a templar you can have multiple totems to compensate that.
