Graphics card makes weird noise
|
Now I'm not sure if this will be a good spot to post this but I'll try. Whenever I boot up Path of Exile, my graphics card makes a really weird noise. Tried several other games, not noise. I've tried with graphics up and down, nothing matters. I've tried games with better and worse graphics. Just no other game does this. I've made a video, I can post it somewhere. It's just a very weird issue and I'm wondering if anyone else has had this problem.
I am running a 1070ti. Last bumped on Jun 30, 2019, 11:36:37 AM

It's most likely PoE hammering your GPU's so they run at 99-100% usage. Try and have your task manager open when you run PoE and watch the GPU section.
Same problem here with Legion on a GTX1080, with gpu usage being 99% even in menu's. Installed RivaTuner Statistics, capped my framerate to 120 with it for PoE (i do have a 144hz monitor, but 120 feels fine). I'm now back down to a way more reasonable gpu usage and my fans are barely spinning again. Last edited by puffd#1744 on Jun 30, 2019, 11:22:56 AM

all of you should try playing in standard to see if you get the same errors there.
I am in standard and this is my hardware --> Core i7-3770K, 16 GB ram, Asus GTX1070TI Cerberus Adv., Samsung 840 500GB SSD I don't have any problems with my GFX or lag as such. |

puffd, you are the savior I needed. My gpu doesnt sound like it's trying to kill itself, and my preliminary tests show lag is way better. Caddy68, try RivaTuner Statistics.
