Legion is soo unfair for an Average build player

Like literally 100% of legion players cannot play essence drain why GGG not letting me play my own custom variety build!!! i totally not able to wipe all the legion monsters with my frost blades builds meanwhile a guy is enjoying 1 shotting the whole legion pack just because hes a essence drain player.

You don't have to play ED. There's no requirement to kill everything on the screen. There's not even a bonus for doing it. This is on you... not on the game. You'd be complaining about what ever skill was popular. Hope GGG knows this.

This is the point. You have to follow the twitch builds, which is made in a way which requires specific items. Since these items is mind blowing expensive you have 2 options - die as a noob or touch the forbiden things.
And I am starting to wonder if the game creators actually is relaying on the seconds.

There will always be more meta builds that are more efficient to do certain or all types of content, That's the point.

I don't tend to clear all legion encounters with cyclone at the moment I might be garbage but I' having fun.

Just do your thing and stay humble, hopefully your build gets better with more currency.

You are making zero sense.

Play whatever build you want! You don't get a bonus for clearing the Legion in 1 shot, all you need are the ones with the icons over their heads.

am playing a full AoE cyclone. and i can clear everything.
my last char was a cleaver and also could clear everything..

aslong has you can 1shot the mobs all you need is move speed.

Define what average is. Thing is we all consider average to be where we stand so bad players who don't build properly think themselves average when it fact thats not the case.

In another Legion mechanic thread some one was QQing that timer was too short for his build to activate all the legions. It was even stated by Chris that for your build you may not want to active all legions and risk getting killed. You have to assess the risk of unlocking more than your build can safely handle. So unless you want to play an EDCON build you have to be ok with unlocking fewer legions.

But no one playing PoE should ever be expecting GGG to set the difficulty bar for the "average" player. Everyone has different playing skills and GGG has to have content that the top players can find challenging but is too uber for the average (lower skilled) players.
