Technical Support (Path of Exile 1) - StandAlone Client forced directory AND other MAJOR problems - Forum

How do I make the Installer (PathOfExileInstaller.exe from the Download Now! button just above) install to a directory of my choosing? It gives me no options it just forces itself to C:\Program Files (x86)\Grinding Gear Games\Path of Exile I d/l'ed the EXE to my desktop (O/S is on my Hard Drive) and clicked it and it auto-installed to the C drive (HDD). I put all my games on the SSD's but there is no way to stop the installer from setting up the game on my C drive. I want it on my D, E, or F drive which are all SSD's. -- I made this account so I could exclusively use the Stand Alone instead of the Steam Edition I've had for 5+ years. I found the Link Steam action in the User Panel of this site and linked it hoping that would move all my characters to this new fresh account. It may have but the installer has just been saying "Checking Resources" for hours now. So I went to my steam account edition and fired it up and all my character and all my money spent on the game are gone. Have I lost everything? -- Why is it so hard to login to this site? I have to clear my history/cookies before every attempt and then using the same email/password everytime (copy and paste, not hand typing) it will NOT work for 10, 20 , 40 attempts. It takes hours just to get this far to make one thread. 1) OPTIONS button 2) e-mail support, they will "separate" back 2 accounts and re-link them in a right way 3) send info in e-mail to tech.support about your OS, browser, browser extensions and such.
