Pants (leg armor)

there was a thread posted about this in the General Discussion forum, but i thought it might be appropriate here as well.

there seems to be a lack of variation in the leg armor of most of the characters. they seem to be running around without any pants for the whole game.

i'm not saying pants are the solution, but i think that some sort of leg armor or skirt/loin cloth variation would be nice. most characters look pretty silly with a bunch of armor and bare legs.

I think that running in underwear is what got them "exiled" in the first place ;) Maybe it's just a part of the game lore? Path of the Pantles ones :P

- Uzicorn, for teh children.
When I played during Open Weekend it took me a couple of hours to notice that the leg armour never changed, which then seemed incredibly strange and stuck out like a sore thumb for the rest of the weekend. IMO adding leg armour to each piece of armour as an aesthetic change or as a seperate equip slot would enhance the game.
Yes please. I actually couldn't stand playing anything but rangers because nobody's wearing pants!
Kilgoth - Eldritch Battery Lightning Strike Shadow
Kilgmore - Righteous Fire/Freezing Pulse tankmage Marauder
Kilgington - Remake of the very same Marauder
Kilgtales - Pain Attunement Low Life Caster Shadow
Kylg - Unarmed bitch
Just going to repost what I said in the other pants thread:

"
Pants are a fairly high-tech invention. Skirt type wraps are much more common in the world's cultures... it was usually contact with Europe that brought pants everywhere.

In other words, that's a (modern) Euro-centric perspective. Most of the world has always been pantsless!

My main concern isn't specifically "pants", it's more the lack of variation in leg armor overall. witches and templars could get upgraded looking skirts/wraps. mauraders could get some sort of leg plates, or even just upgraded loin cloths. maybe some kind of studded gladiator style strap-skirt thing.

and if the character already has pants, well, upgraded pants then!
Later (beginning of cruel-difficulty) there are armours which give also leg armour, but the early ones don't have any at all.
I also think each armour should have more or less leg-parts.
At the beginning the first armours are okay with very less or none, because it fits to the provisional style of e.g. the first plate of the marauder.
But I played with a friend who has a templar, and a great magical chainmail tunic without pants gives a ridiculous look, at which we laughed very often. ;)

I'm glad I play duelist since he always wears his leather pants.^^

So shown leg parts should be implemented to every armour to give a better feeling about the carried one.
What if the Armor include top and bottom? Pretty much like Diablo 1. I don`t mean to change the armor value, just the visual effect.

Exactly what I meant. :)

The later armours have it actually, so why not change the old ones too?
I think GGG will eventually end up updating the armor but it's a lot of work. I for one would love to see better armor/weapon models for sure.
