Static Strike and Pulverize

Hi, just wanted to know if the AoE of beams in Static Strike should be affected by the new Strength support gem "Pulverize".
AoE of the beams is currently affected by "Increased Area of Effect" support, but not "Pulverize", is this intended?

more area of effect and less attack speed mods should work I think, but the more area damage certainly not as the beams do not deal area damage (they hit individual targets within the radius)
