Which melee class is the most fun to play and easy to begin with?

Looking at the balance changes coming with the legion league, it looks like switching to melee could be a good idea.

Since Im quite new to the game, i have no idea about the playstyles of the various classes.

I started with the witch and with Legion, i would like to try a melee class.

Looking at some builds, i can't find something cool enough to play. I mean, i would love to find a fast moving build, with fast clear speed and "easy" to understand.

Pick one and try it. If you don't like it pick another.

Well, a league remains for only 3 months. Getting to the end game takes some hours. I wouldn't want to waste hours leveling a character and when finally getting to the end game, I discover that the final playstyle it's boring. That's why I'm asking. I have nonthing to lose trying a class that someone suggested here rather than trying the luck my self. :)

Hey
I'd suggest you as a new player, pick the most hyped boosted skill : Cyclone
Before, it wasn't really fast, but i guess it'll be faster than before with the clearspeed
I'm definitely going Cyclone (most probably Slayer), i loved that skill since the start of my PoE journey, feels satisfying
+ many people will go Cyclone, so should be able to get a lot of info on what items u need, + overall knowledge for melee

be warned that if you decided to play trade league and pick a fotm build certain uniques will be expensive unless RNG is on your side.
slayer is the good bet here.

Yes Duelist with Slayer ascendancy. It's, in my opinion, the most powerfull melee ascendancy this league. Berserker may beat it with end game gear.

I will search through the build list for it! Do you already have a specific one to suggest?

Far better for a new player just to dick around with stuff until they learn a bit more about the game, rather than just follow a guide blindly.

But if you insist on a guide, you can find one in the class forums.

I'd actually recommend Juggernaut for new players... it's got stronger defense. Experienced players rely (perhaps unknowingly) on their experience with the game and skills they've developed for added defense.

Don't underestimate the Ancestral Warchief. Great "one point wonder". You don't need much investment in it to make it "good enough". Get the Vaal version.
