PS4 Cannot login. Playstation network cannot be reached

Hi I was wondering how I could fix this problem ASAP as I am currently in the Hardcore race and can't get on now for some reason.

You're not the only one that can't get in right now. Bleh. Seriously, I'd PAY for an offline mode that still enforced MTX authentication just so I could avoid this exact scenario. :(

It likely has something to do with GGG's connection to the PSN as my PS4 Pro can access the Playstation Store, my profile online, and I can sync my trophies instantly. Whereas the PC version has only to deal with GGG's servers themselves, it appears the console versions have their respective network services as a middleman even if you aren't actively on a subscription to them (as I am currently not).
Hopefully this is a short downtime. I just got settled in with a 5-hour Energy for a gaming night to myself. Gonna be pissed if it gets wasted because Sony's network took a shit on us yet again. |
