POE Game Crash - Exception Error Code 2005270523

I have experienced multiple crashes while playing POE, these crashes occur in different areas at different times. Each time the game crashes I get an Exception Error Code 2005270523.

"": In source code file:
f:\buildslave\build\production\source\windows\visual\device\d3d11\textured3d11.cpp at line 199,
Processing file:
Error: -2005270523
Message:

Does anyone know how to fix this? I have updated all drivers and re-installed the game but this has not fixed the issue.

I have run the DirectX Diagnostic Tool and haven't found any errors. Per the tool, The DirectX Version in the system tab is DirectX 12. The graphics card in my laptop is a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980M.

Any help would be appreciated.

EDIT FOR UPDATE: Ok, so if I disable multithreading, the game seems to be "stable" for a good while. I was playing over an hour just fine. However, the framerate drops to a crawl, especially while running masses of mobs with special effects going off everywhere. It's like playing Quake 3 on a 486. But it doesn't crash! However, I died to Merciless Izaro of all things, because the lag was so bad I couldn't see what I was doing anymore.

I also set my Pathofexile.exe process priority to High in Task Manager. Will try with multithreading + high priority process to see if it helps. As an aside, I was able to run Blood Aqueduct over and over, when normally I freeze on that tileset. I'm using a first-gen Core i7 920 in an old EVGA X58 motherboard.

Any cosmetic MTX running? try disable it.
