Make Shaper's Realm Monsters Drop Loot. This Content is Boring AF. Seriously

It doesn't help that the loot tables of high end bosses give you the same "unique" 75% of the time. Fuckin snoozefest!

The fight itself is supposed to be the reward as well as the drops.

Sadly since the fight became the snoozefest the whole instance is boring.

The cause isn't shaper or the whole shaper-area, it's the mechanics being fucked.

So no, don't change shaper-stuff, change the friggin broken stuff.
GGG balance is like getting a pizza which is burnt on the sides, raw in the middle and misses the most of the toppings.
Then upon sending it back you get a raw side, burnt middle and enough toppings to drench everything in grease.
Everything fixed but still broken.
It's a loot based game. Why is there no loot? Why is the loot from the boss the same most times? Why should I bother with content that doesn't provide loot, in a loot-based game?

Yes, loot-based, not loot-shitting.

You get loot, shaper-loot. Also Shaper was formerly one of the few places where ilvl 86 stuff was possible AT ALL. This has been trivialized.

Get the gist of what I'm saying?
Also, there is a GUARANTEED unique there, ONLY available there. It's one of the most specific content available in the game. Want to make it like everything else as well so we have one slaughter-festival from start to finish which nobody enjoys anyway right now?

Changing pace is important in a game, and uber-elder and shaper are very important parts for that. Actually I would be happy for GGG to realize that bosses MATTER in general, diverse and meaningful encounters rather then always the same shit.

So yes, I'm advocating to the other direction rather, make shaper only drop 1 unique and 1 shaper item (of ANY base available in the game) ilvl 86, period, nothing else in that instance, the sole reason to go there.

Happy to hear Chris say in BaeClast#41 that when loot doesn't drop in the game, it feels weird. Shaper's Realm is the pinnacle of this. At least in Incursions and Fragmented Memories you get the lootsplosion at the end.

In other news, if you get lucky and spawn some Sarcophagi, you can in fact get loot in Shaper's Realm! Game-breaking for sure. Also surely unintended/a bug.

I would rather them rework the shaper.

Let players scale the difficulty.
Let them go directly to shaper for easy drops as current version.
Kill minibosses to buff the shaper fight and add tough map mods for each miniboss slain. Have the shaper gain a new attack based on the slain bosses (add bleed, blast rain, malachai ground puddles, etc)

Each miniboss could drop a piece of a new shaped unique item. Shaper could drop the final piece infrequently (higher chance if all minibosses slain). Combine the fragments to get a unique with a random special mod or 2 (like the delve rings). Or perhaps make each unique miniboss provide mods to a pool for items the shaper can drop. Say u kill rigwald, then shaper can drop some sword with bleed or maim. Kill Vaal thingy, and you get chaos damage to spells.

Would make shaper rewarding, and have a chance at a cool special item.

Right now, the 4 minibosses are trash mobs and the shaper is a joke.
