Elder Map

Hey guys,

i have one question. I think that i saw once in YT-Movie that you can force the Shaper Guardians to get shaper influenced when you play a Elder Map so that you can farm Uber Elder. I put two maps in the map device and chose the Elder Mod. Nothing happend. Or does it has to be my specific Elder Map which i used the Elder Orb for?

you need to get the elder influence TOWARDS the guardians
if you complete a map where you have elder influence, you would basically drive the influence away.

what you need to do is complete mainly shaper influenced maps that are between your elder influence and the T16 maps.

if you don't have, do other maps, just not elder maps.

however, make sure you don't reach 20 elder influenced maps, as elder will spawn.

PS: you don't need to put 2 maps in the device. that would never work :)

Yeah i know how the shaper/elder mechanics work. But i have something in mind that you spawn the elder influence near the guardians or something like that when i play elder map and i want to know how exactly that works.

it works EXACTLY the same as spawning red elder.

when you get your elder influence next to one of the guardian map, all the guardian maps have the shaper influence background

then you proceed in completing each of the guardian maps.
my recommendation is to start with the one adiacent to the elder influence, then do the ones on the side and last the one opposite.

then the elder guardians will spawn on the T16 maps and uber elder on shaper map.

so you need 2 sets of T16 maps to do this.

Yeah, that's not what i mean. But i think i solved my question on my own. When you play your elder map a map near the guardians become shaper influenced. In my case it is dark forest. Now i only have to play this map to get elder influence near the guardians. Furthermore i think i have to play only 2-3 other red maps to get the shaper influence on the guardians. The advantage is that you don't need to lure the elder from tier 1-9 to the center of the atlas.

That would only happen if you where running t1-9 maps when there wasn't any influence. Only run red maps when there's no elder influence and you'll be fine.

If you have no elder influence up, when the elder influence spawns it will be on the map tier that you have previously done.

Spawning uber elder only needs you to elder influence the 4 guardian maps, not 20 like white/yellow/red elders.
