Ultra widescrren bug
|
When using an unltra widescreen if your cursor is too far to either side of the screen you wont be able to cast skills/attack if you use attack without moving. Is it possible to fix this?

This isn't a bug, the game isn't designed for ultra widescreen and it's use is a form of cheating that GGG can't ban for.
But while they can't ban you for it (outside using a program to do something simmilar) it dose not mean that they will give you all the benefits. As such the health/mana globes will remain at the corners (instead of towards the center where the are easier to see in ultra wide) And skill activation will take place within a 16:9 aspec ratio (more like an oval in that space) Ancestral Bond. We don't consider using an ultrawide monitor to be cheating. The screen space where you can interact is, however, limited.

"This happens on 1080p as well, in the far left corner your character won't cast stuff. Even with the attack-in-place option so you can get screwed over when trying to use max range (E.G flame dash or traps) |

" The space is slightly less than wisible 16:9 screen area. Just to make that awesome "failed to cast" gameplay experience available for everyone. Problem: impostor syndrome

" It's a radius around your character that is a constant distance inside the game regardless of your resolution. If you compare 3440x1440 with 2560x1440, the boundary is definitely larger than the 16:9 ratio which 2560x1440 shows you. | |
" Exactly. We have a limitation radius suitable for 5:4 aspect ratio while everyone using at least 16:10. (Upper left / right corner of 5:4 screen lays inside that radius, you'll very rarely face the "unable to cast" issue. Upper left / right corner of 16:9 screen is always outside of the radius.) The radius is too low. The game UI doesn't support 5:4 aspect ratio neither the game mechanics do (technically yes, but practically no). 16:9 is clearly a standard. Yet we have this :
I just keep clicking Leap Slam button until it finally works.

" Have you considered projecting clicks that are outside of this radius back onto the edge of the circle? So if you click outside of the radius the game performs the click instead on the point of the intersection between the radius and a line from the click point and the center of the screen. This would be a much more pleasant experience because you would never run into the issues of accidentally clicking the deadzone and not having the game react to your action. |

" The technology probably already there, but in order to compensate lack of player's suffering the skills cast in this way should do no damage. ![]() Problem: impostor syndrome
