Blurry / pixelated graphics while in any Synthesis areas; memories in maps, nexus, memory runs

I've had an issue since league start where the graphics in pretty much any Synthesis specific area are very pixelated/blurry. This happens in the map memories, memory nexus, and the memory runs from the nexus. All other non-Synthesis area are perfectly fine.

When this happens, the UI (skill bar, health/man, flasks, etc) are all perfectly fine and clear. The loot drop text boxes are also clear. It's the map/environment, mobs, my character, skills, etc that is pixelated and blurry.

Closing and reopening the game doesn't help; the existing instances are the same. I've noticed no pattern, or found a way to clear the issue.

The issue does, however, sometimes just clear itself up. Sometimes it clears up while in a memory, meaning that memory instance will start messed up, and then just all the sudden everything turns clear and normal. This is rare that is clears up while in memory.

The graphics issues don't occur in every Synthesis instance, but it is the vast majority. probably 5 or 6 or so. Way more than enough that I dread clicking into Synthesis screens.

I'd also say that performance seems worse when this happens - like a slight latency to all actions. But this might just be a perception from focusing on the messed up graphics.

Hi!

This is a feature in your Graphics portion of the Options menu- it's Dynamic Resolution. The game will throttle your resolution down, fuzzing the screen, in an effort to keep your framerate high so you can still react to whatever encounter is affecting your framerate.

You can either disable Dynamic Resolutions from that options menu, or change the framerate threshold for when it kicks in so better suit your preferences.

Thank you for the response. I checked the FPS chart, and it does seem that when its happening, my drops from the normal ~60-65 fps to under 30 fps.


But then the question becomes - why am I getting such horrible fps in Synthesis content - and only in Synthesis content? Even just entering and standing still in the memory nexus is causing a huge fps drop to trigger the graphics throttling. Was Synthesis coded and tuned for (much) higher pc specs/requirements than the rest of the game?


I've never (0 times) had this happen in the past until this league, and during this league it only occurs in memories and the memory nexus. There have been zero occurrences during this league while in maps, hideout, mines, temple, betrayal stuff, act 1-10 areas, etc.

This has been bugged/NON-FUNCTIONAL since Harbinger League!
Its been functional, you probably just have it set too high.
