Fossil drop rates below depth 58 bugged?

In the patch notes for 3.6 they stated they nerfed low level delve fossil drop rates and buffed deeper depths. So far I havent experienced any 'buffs' to the drop rate since passing the 58 depth (IIRC thats the breakpoint in the patch notes). I'm not terribly deep but im sitting a bit below 100 and have something like 26 fossils found.

I want to say more then half of what I found wasnt even behind fractured walls. When i do find a fossil chest its usually a single. On the other hand I've found more resonators stashes, each stash drops reliably more drops then fossils and some of resonators take multiple fossils.

I understand my sample size if of no statistical significance. Any other players care to share their experiences? as for me I feel like one of my favourite mechanics has become rather trivialized. Although I find it fun, without adequate reward I feel compelled to be doing other things.

-sidenote mychaos/h isnt that bad, its not great. however a large part of the appeal to me is amassing the delve crafting mats from doing delve. not farming chaos (most of my currency came from actual currency drops).

Clearly for your typical run of the mill average PoE players, if every new league is a variation of breach, they will be happy.

And Delve is the next best thing because it's easy and extremely rewarding.

Clearly fossils drop rate is uber nerfed, there was too many resonators before the fossil nerf, now they are just garbage. I think for each fossil I am getting 5 to 6 resonator for it.
The real hardcore PoE players and the elites sit in town and zoning in and out of their hideouts trading items. Noobs that don't know how to play PoE correctly, kill monsters for items. It's pure fact, it will never change.

Welcome to PoE.

Azurite Mine and Sulphite Changes
You are now less likely to find fossils at depths shallower than 58, and more likely to find fossils at deeper depths.
Areas which contain Voltaxic Sulphite are now highly likely to contain 3 veins. This may not be the case for areas which contain many other terrain features, such as Shrines or Essences.

feelsbad. If they just nerfed it w/e it was really good and easy to do before... I could understand it. However I'm not keen on being served up a big ol spoon of bullshit.
Was testing this alot. And i must admit, the nerf is brutal. I find around the same amount of fossils as in previous league only below 110+ depth. So its like 110+for fossils, or around 50, simply for the currency chests and chaos recipe. Because sulphite cost on 110+ is too much. Kinda RIP for the fossil farm honestly.
I highly doubt this was a hard change at depth 58, but more of a gradual change. I doubt you get to depth 59 and all of the sudden get big buffs to fossils vs previous league delves. Probably would have to delve past depth 150ish for it to really get noticeable.

The change was more to reward those delving deeply, pushing their character, giving them more rewards for doing so.
I've found 2 Prime Resonators at low Deep but at this point i didnt even had 4 Fossils to use at least one Prime.
Don't believe the Hype!
Made some tests on standard using special pathfinder build (190 move spedd without flask).

Got approximately 15 fossils in one hour run at the "white map" delve levels (monster levels 68-71). What i have observed is the fact that nowadays low-level fossil nodes have only 2 fossils max.
May be i am wrong but i have not found any nodes behind walls with 3-4 fossils. If am correct, before 3.6 the nodes with 3-4 fossils were present at low levels.

At the depth of 200+ the fossil nodes with 3 fossils do exist but the costs of the runs burn the sulphite pool quickly. I do not see fossil spawn rate increase at depth 200+ for 3.6 in comparision with 3.5

Thus, it seems that at the levels of white-tier maps fossils drops were reduced

Got a few around the level they started at then hit a drought, after passing lvl 100 that drought ended and I'm finding all kind of them now.
