Double Strike - does it attack with both weapons when DW?

The wiki is confusing: https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Double_Strike

"Double Strike is a melee attack that performs two fast attacks on a target enemy with the player's melee weapon(s)."

I know there was a change to stat sticks recently. When dual wielding, does Double Strike still just use 1 weapon or does it hit with both? If with both, does it just average the dps of both?

Also, if it hits with both and you're using Chance to Bleed Support, does it add the flat damage to each weapon against bleeding targets?

TIA

I can test this right now - I'm ssf-ing a champion build and have a claw and a sword.

The animation shows alternate claw and sword, but I'm waiting for the sword hit (offhand) with its frenzy-charge generator to show reliable confirmation that this wep is being processed separately during DS.

Only two skills in the game hit with both weapons at the same time if you'rr DW. Cleave and Dual Strike are the only ones.
It does hit with both weapons in rapid succession per attack. Im pretty sure it does, since im playing dw double strike gladiator and im getting frenzy and endu charges on kill (main hand and off hand kills). If it would not hit with the offhand i would not get endu charges on kill (i dont have any other skill to kill stuff).

When was the tasty bleed added? Noice (OP)
I mean Double Strike - and yes specifically because of the flat damage against bleeding enemies. Wondering if it's useful to go DW or stick with S&B.
