Ice bite + Added Cold Damage?

Just one simple question:

Does Ice Bite improve the cold damage caused by the support gem Added Cold Damage?

Just specced it and didnt notice much of an improvement in my cold damage but I forgot to directly compare values so I can't tell if they went up very much.

That depends what the Added Cold Damage gem is linked to, since Ice Bite increases cold damage done by weapons only.

Example:

It'll work on Added Cold Damage supporting Cleave (skill that uses your weapon) but not on ACD supporting Ice Spear (spell that doesn't rely on your weapon)

I was wondering about this too since I'm using a cold support gem for my bow shots with hatred aura. It doesn't look like it added as much damage as would have been suggested by the 45% increase.
