Lightning Golem + Hypothermia Support + Added Cold Damage Support + Elemental Proliferation

So I have these 4 gems linked up.. not sure if they work the way I'm thinking it will. I've yet to see the lightning golem freeze anything.. I think it is chilling, but maybe I'm just getting confused with the shock effect.. also is the added cold damage support gem unnecessary to trigger the chill/freeze effect for a lightning golem?

I cant look at your character since its privated, but unless you are some kind of necro/golem build which makes your golems actually do stuff, I dont think you should rely on golems doing anything other than giving you the buff.
they probably do too little cold damage to freeze anything

Changed it to public.. I think

Basically was hoping the golem to trigger freeze, but the previous person seems to believe the golems don't do enough damage to freeze? I wasn't aware you had to do a certain amount of damage.. where's it say that?
Ludvator is probably correct.

Freeze, chill, shock, and lots of stuff in this game such as stun when applied on hits all have their base effectiveness and/or duration based off the damage dealt proportional to enemies health.

From the wiki:
"
Base freeze duration is 60 milliseconds (0.06 seconds) for every 1% of the target's maximum life (before party scaling) dealt by cold damage, up to a maximum of 50% (3 seconds). Freezes with a duration smaller than 0.3 seconds are discarded, effectively requiring a hit of 5% enemy life.[2] As an example, The Shaper has approximately 20 000 000 life. Minimally freezing The Shaper requires a single hit of 1 000 000 cold damage.

for more information if you'd like

And your lightning golem is probably doing mostly lightning damage, with only base cold damage from support gem and maybe some abyssal jewels or something
