Hits can't be evaded & Critical Strikes

Hey there!
I got a little curiosity regarding this topic and I didn't find anything covering it so here goes:

The Unique Bow Lioneye's Glare has a affix that says: "Hits can't be Evaded". Which means it basically ignores all accuracy and evasions/dodge (i think) regardless of their values (in another words.. I am bound to deal dmg every time i attack).

So.. since my hits always land.. does that means Critical Strikes will always land aswell?

And if my Critical Strikes always land, does it means i can simply ignore the "+#% Critical Strike Chance" property overall in my gear?

Or do i still need it to get the chance to "initiate" the Critical Strike "process" (which will always land anyways because my hit's can't be evaded...??)

(Kind of like genetics.. #% to possibly have a critical strike × #% to land critical strike)

Sorry if it's to confusing.. :(
All help appreciated !! (including grammars xD)

These are different things. Hits cant be evaded means you will deal damage every time you attack(ignorin accuracy rating) while the chance to deal a critical strike is a different stat, which is a % that you attack will actually land a crit.
Ahhh i see!

Thanks for the help!! ^^
Let me answer you by describing how crit and accuracy interacts:

If you pass the first accuracy/evasion check with your crit hit, it rolls again. if it fails, your hit becomes non-crit.

thats why accuracy is so important for crit builds and thats why "hits cant be evaded" is such a valuable mod for crit attackers

Or, to put it more simple.

If you have "hits can't be evaded", your crit chance is what is displayed in the character tab. If it says 60%, it is 60%.

If you have hit chance below 100%, your crit chance is lower than what is displayed. Your 60% is maybe 45-55%, depending on your accuracy and on all sorts of modifiers that can occur in the game.

The game checks if you hit, then it checks again if you have a chance for a crit, then it checks again if you "hit good enough" that it really becomes a crit, again based on accuracy. So accuracy is checked twice, and that's why "hits can't be evaded" is so potent in crit builds.

So i guarrantee to hit... but if i don't invest in accuracy rating my crit chance will still get reduced because it's not 100%?

I use Lioneye's Glare and i don't have a single piece with AR on it because I thought its useless with this bow... should I actually look for it since im focused on Criticals?

No, you don't need to. The game uses the same accuracy value for both checks. With the "Hits can't be evaded' mod, you have 100% accuracy for both checks.
I see.. i think i get it now.. thanks :)
