no.

it would have made sense in old times when microtransactions had a fixed dollar value attached.

mtx boxes just made it impossible to have you track where your mtx came from.

their planned compensation for double mtx from boxes where you get new mtx if you lost while gambling is completely obfuscating the source of your mtx.
