recommended, viable and accepted addons?

looking for a list of sorts of addons that are approved or accepted by the developers, just the basics but can't find any section on it in forums.

link to a post if someone knows of it though would be appreciated.

There's no such things as addons when it comes to PoE. Closest thing to that are the poe trade macro or the logout macro.

You may not automate.

You may not perform more than one client action per keystroke.

Anything that does either of these is not allowed.

You can hot key actions that would take multiple keystrokes so long as the result is a single client action... like /hideout would take 10 keystrokes for most players but is a single client action, so that would be ok. 12345 would take five key strokes and drink from each potion in turn, resulting in five actions... not OK.

ok thanks for the responses so far, i've never been a heavy modder in any game so was more after utility stuff anyway so that's no issue.

perhaps any good resource sites etc? i currently have the gamewiki bookmarked, see alot about pastebin/path of building but never used either so don't know about them.

The only add-on i fully trust is Neversink's filter.

Everything else is suspect.

Path Of Building

It is a very very very very important program/tool if you want to avoid respecing or keep respecing to the minimum.

Also its useful for analyzing things like "accuracy to hit" which is very difficult to do in-game unless you have unlimited orbs of regret to keep respecing and then testing, and then respecing and then testing, and so on.

Its also useful for analyzing minion data like dmg, accuracy, life, etc.

Its also useful for many many many other things related to builds.

Its difficult for me to explain this in the forum.

You have to actually use it in order to understand what i am talking about.

+1 to PoB, but it is not an add-on. Add-on is like an extension and requires a host program to work.

The game doesn't have add-ons, but it does support certain tools that were designed by the community, and are highly recommended.

1. Path Of Building - an offline build planner for Path of Exile.

2. FilterBlade - tool for creating and modifying item filters.

3. Neversink's Loot Filter - item filter. There are a few item filter presets readily available for you to use in Neversink's package. You can also modify any of these presets to your liking by uploading them to FilterBlade.

4. POELab - all around info. hub for the labyrinth that also shows you the labyrinth's daily layout.

5. Lab Compass Tool - overlay tool that adds a labyrinth compass; essential tool to use if you plan to farm the labyrinth.

The Lab Compass has been called a cheat in the past... dunno if they complied with GGG's wishes and are back on the "ok" list.

Trade macro has a lot of decently interesting stuff to it, though its a pain to set up because you need an auto click program and it could be shady....really miss the F5 to hideout macro bundled in that...should really set it up again.

Trading macro just reads your gear and searches poe trade for its recent price listings.

Really all you need is a good neversink filter...though im always feeling like i need to make a custom filterblade for every build as it hides things i want and really advertises junk drops seemingly for every build i run.
