Eldritch Battery Bug

I believe, unless I am mistaken, that energy shield recharge is not working correctly when used in conjunction with eldritch battery.
Steps to duplicate: 1: Get eldritch batter 2: DO NOT get mind over matter 3: Spend mana 4: Activate blood rage with increased duration. Expected result: Energy shield will recharge as no damage is being dealt to the energy shield or what it is protecting. Observed result: Energy shield will not recharge as you are losing health. Interestingly, when I do not have eldritch battery, My energy shield recharge will start even if I have taken damage from my life in the last 2 seconds. Not sure if this is intended, but this stops when you get EB. Last bumped on Dec 10, 2018, 5:25:03 AM

Update: This is very reproducible on my account, but not anyone elses for soem reason.
Considering making an eldritch battery character that could abuse this, but not sure how it would be received. |

" Thanks for your report, this is intended. The change we've made is that spending Mana won't stop your Energy Shield from recharging if you have Eldritch Battery. Taking damage WILL stop your Energy Shield recharge if you have Eldritch Battery even if you don't have Mind Over Matter. Here are some forms of non-damage changes to Life/ES which won't stop your recharge: - Life spent from Blood Magic - % Life sacrificed (Dark Pact, Demon Stitcher, Blood Offering) - % Life and %ES sacrificed (Vaal RF, Blood Sacrifice) - % ES sacrificed (Doedre's Elixir with CI) - Berserker Rage Getting hit by a monster will stop ES recharge. Since when is damage to life considered loss of ES or the status protected by ES due to damage, if ES isn't protecting life? | |
" You are correct about that, let me re-phrase it, it should have mentioned non-damage changes to Health/ES rather than Damage | |

" UPDATE: This is indeed a bug and we'll have a fix out for it in an upcoming patch. I seemed to have misunderstood some comments related to Eldritch Battery changes (on our end). When using Eldritch Battery, taking Life Damage should NOT stop Energy Shield recharge, this is currently not the case and will be fixed. Sorry for the misunderstandings. | |

like i said, if i get HIT it doesn't interrupt recharge. iF i step on burning ground or into the darkness for a split second, the recharge is interrupted. it's only DOT that is causing the bug

I can confirm, after a few testings, I concluded that DoT is the source of all of it (or 99% of it is DoT) : Poison, bleed, burning ground, desecrated ground, darkness, somehow the spirits that attacks you from dead zombies in twilight strand a6, generic DoT that the syndicate does also do that too and burning ground effect from some monsters. I havent tested the scorching ray totems in a6, but I suspect as much.
