Are there different versions of Unique items based on level?

I a unique item has a level req of 20, will there be other better versions with higher level requirements?

Are lower level uniques a factor in endgame? For instance, I have a unique belt and gloves which seem much better than anything I'm finding. How long will they last for me?

Other than these, uniques typically don't have higher level versions of themselves. This is probably because base items eventually won't either. So far, only helmets have gotten a full overhaul, to a point where there are no obvious repeat skins...but it seems to me the intent is to get rid of the old ARPG convention of reusing lower level things as higher level. The fact that they did away with act repetition is further indication of this direction to me.

I have a Belt of the Deceiver. Is this item relevant in end game, even though it is only level 20?

My observation is that many unique items are lower level, which in most games means that they do not compare to higher level rare items.

Simply put, are high level characters using this unique item? Do they use any of the uniques that are not max level items?

Belt of the Deceiver is quite good, even for maps up to a point.
It's got a bit of life, physical damage, suffer less critical damage and elemental resistances - a good package.
A well rolled rare rustic sash (or other belt with an implicit you like better) can be better, however, with more resistances, more life and other useful stuff.

So, it's definitely not best in slot, but OK.

There's one thing where ilvl can matter - for items with sockets:

The item level limits the max number of sockets.
Except you use a master to change number of sockets.

This isn't for uniques only, this is for ALL items.

This game has very few unique items that are Best in Slot, at end game, for a large number of builds.

Instead, you can in general place the majority of uniques in one of these categories:

Great Leveling Item

or Vendor Trash

or Build Enabling

Build Enabling is a popular design goal for the devs. Although these items are not best in slot for most builds, they are vital to a specific type of build that simply would not exist without the use of this unique item.
Itemslevel does not effect the stats of unique items except for sockets.
This is especially important on unique's that can have 6 of them.
So if u find a unique chest in lower level's u cant 6 Socket it with currency cuz of the itemlvl restrictions.

U can however force 6 Sockets on it with the master crafting bench.

Uniques in this game are usually used for its unique effect rather then pure stats (again usually).

So if a unique is used in late game depends on what it acutally does for ur build.

It can compliment ur build or be the only reason it works in the first place.

Long story short. Yes poeple use low lvl uniques cuz of the reasons above.
